Waupun, WI ~ The 26th Waupun Truck-N-Show, held Friday, August 14th and Saturday, August 15th promises to be bigger and better than ever. The event will bring out the best of over 100 exhibitors sharing their pride and joys.

Friday night is the Lights of the Night Convoy parade at 9 p.m. All the lights are turned off in Waupun as the parade moves through town. Serving as parade marshal is Jack C. Moss Trucking, Lannon, WI.  Truckers and their companies will bid for the lead spots in the parades and the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Convoy for Special Olympics, both of Wisconsin, will benefit from their generosity.

Truckers will begin pulling into town to register Thursday night, 5-7 p.m., with more coming Friday and Saturday morning. Exhibit displays open at noon on Friday. Back again this year is an expanded Kids Area featuring many games, Happy the Clown and inflatable rides, a slow-truck race, more antique trucks displayed from “American Truck Historical Society” members and much more!

Friday evening come out to enjoy the fish fry which is planned from 4-8 p.m. followed by the individual Pioneer and Truck Recognition ceremonies on Friday at 7 p.m. Then enjoy live music outside by Bad Habitz from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Saturday morning brings the Waupun Lions Club Pancake “all you can eat” breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. at the Rock River Intermediate School which is located on the west side of the show grounds at 451 E. Spring St. in Waupun. Exhibitor displays open at 9 a.m. and the truck judging takes place from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The VFW/American Legion Color Guard and National Anthem will be performed at noon. The Prom Queen Rejects, a new band from the Wisconsin Dells area will be performing 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Make-A-Wish motorcycles will be registered for parade starting at noon to 2 p.m. They will precede the nation’s largest all truck parade at 3 p.m. At the finale of the truck parade will be a new Jake Brake contest that the truckers can enter. This event will take place between the 400 and 500 block of east Main Street (downtown Waupun). After this, over 300 trophies will be awarded to the winning trucks. On Saturday night, enjoy the music of Road Trip from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at the Waupun Community Center. No admission charge. It is all free!

Saturday evening events include a slow truck race and the band Roadtrip will perform from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Great food and beverages will be served all weekend by Waupun Hockey vendors and the Waupun Fire Department.
