Obituary: Stephen “Steve” A. Boelter

Stephen “Steve” A. Boelter, age 67 of Markesan, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at his home.

Steve was born on September 29, 1947 in Waupun, the twin brother of Mike, son of Lyle and June (Willey) Boelter. He graduated from Markesan High School in 1966. Steve was united in marriage to Diane Lange at County Line Lutheran Church on January 7, 1967. Steve worked at John Deere in Horicon until his retirement. After retiring, he worked part-time at Del Monte in Markesan and also transported local Amish. On October 31, 1997, he was married to Nancy Voskuil in Green Lake.

Steve was a member of County Line Lutheran Church, the Horse Pulling Association and the Coon Hound Association. He enjoyed tending to his flowers and vegetable garden, attending horse pulls and had a great love for dogs and his family. He took great pride in everything he did.

Steve is survived by his daughters, Jodi (Todd) Kobishop of Waupun and Toni (Mike) Timm of Green Lake; grandchildren, Blake (DaVene Kasuboski) Boelter, Austin Kobishop and Emily Boelter; father, Lyle Boelter of Markesan; brother, Tim (Cindy) Boelter of Markesan; sister, Trish (fiancé, Brian Gasser) Boelter of Lodi; sister-in-law, Sue Boelter of Markesan; special friend, Lynda Zacharias of Markesan; step-children, Jennifer, Jodi and Jackie and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Steve was preceded in death by his mother, June on June 9, 2015; his wife, Nancy on October 14, 2000; his twin brother, Mike on April 9, 2009; his brother, Matt on May 1, 2011 and other relatives.

A Funeral Service for Steve will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at County Line Lutheran Church, W10505 County Road AW, with Rev. Bruce Engebretson officiating. Burial will be at Lake Maria Cemetery.

Visitation for Steve will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 181 S. Main St., Markesan and also on Saturday prior to the service at church, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
