Obituary: Doris E. Kienast

Doris E. Kienast passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the Golden Living Center in Beaver Dam from Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

A memorial gathering for Doris will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 N. Crystal Lake Road, Beaver Dam.  A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev.  Collin Vanderhoof officiating.  Private family inurnment will be at Highland Memory Gardens in the township of Trenton, Wisconsin.

Doris Ericka Ellen was born on October 8, 1926 the daughter of Arthur and Augusta (Spauschaus) Nolde in Montgomery, Alabama.  She was a 1945 graduate of Mayville High School.  She was married to Melvin Kienast on June 29, 1946.  They had three children: Linda, Dorrie and Terry. 

Doris and Melvin had resided in Beaver Dam since 1975.  Melvin preceded her in death on January 20, 2000.  Doris was a supportive and loving wife to Melvin.  She was also a loving mother and grandmother.

Doris is survived by her daughters: Linda (Sigmund) Kolatzki of Belize and Dorrie (Donald “Hondo”) Harris of Madison and her son, Terry (Diane) Kienast of Markesan; her grandchildren: Tabitha (Matt Baldwin) Griffin of Austin, TX, Dylan (Jamie) Kolatzki of Port Washington, Isaac Kolatzki of Los Angeles, CA, Julie (Bobby) Isaacs of Buffalo, NY, Mickey (Kaycee) Kienast of Tempe, AZ and Dustin Harris of Portland, OR; great grandchildren: Emmett, Audrey, Agnesa, Kayleigh and Skylar; her sister, Eleanore (Melvin) Pankow; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Agnes (Ed) Scott, Merlin (Anita) Kienast, Robert (Joyce) Kienast, Willard (Lanet) Kienast and Delmar (Karen) Kienast.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin, her mother and father, her mother and father-in-law: August and Adalia Kienast, her brother Norbert Nolde and her sister Ruth Wilbur.
