Fox Lake’s “Spooktacular”

On Saturday, October 31 you are invited to enjoy the fun at Fox Lake’s “Spooktacular”. There is a full day and evening of activity. Start the day at the Trick or Trot 5K & and 1 Mile Fun Run. Registration is from 7-8 a.m. or you can pre-register. Meet at Clausen Riverside Park. There is no fee to participate but food or monetary donations are encouraged. Starting at noon you can go to the Fox Lake Library to get your caricature done by Begos who has performed throughout the United States at festivals including those for the Green Bay Packers.

At 2 p.m. there is a children’s costume contest at the YMCA. At 3 p.m. you can take your pet to Fish Tales Bate & Liquor for the Pet Costume Contest. Prizes are awarded so dress up your pet in the most creative costume and enjoy the fun! There is also a pumpkin carving contest with judging at 3 p.m. at Mac’s BBQ. Bring your pre-carved and decorated pumpkins to be judged.

Other activities include; Klancy the Klown and his famous balloon animals, fun face boards and a coffin for fun photographs, a brat fry, free apples, Sam’s Little Red Wagon, popcorn and other treats, cider making by Quandt Center Farm, free trick or treat bags, scarecrows along Main Street, and a bake sale. There is also face painting by Wanda the Wicked Witch of the East, pony rides and a flea market.

City wide trick or treating is from 4-6 p.m. Finally there is a “spooktacular” cemetery stroll from 6:30-8 p.m. at Riverside Memorial Park. This is a festival you won’t want to miss. For more information go towww.foxlakechamber.com.
