Jane P. Ganz, age 90 of Larsen and formerly of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at her daughter’s home in Larsen.
Jane was born on August 24, 1925, the daughter of Alvin and Lillian (Schwartzkopf) Gorr. She graduated from Beaver Dam High School. On April 8, 1945, she was united in marriage to Wilbur E. Ganz at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Fox Lake. Their marriage was blessed with 6 children and 13 grandchildren. Wilbur and Jane began their life together on his family homestead farm for 25 years. Jane worked at Weyenberg Shoe Factory in Beaver Dam for over 20 years.
Jane was a member of St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. She loved sewing, crocheting, playing cards with family and close friends, going on gambling bus trips, and was a member of the Milwaukee Polka Boosters for many years. She loved her family dearly and treasured the time she spent with them.
Jane is survived by her children, Gae (Dan) Burie of Waukesha, Lonie (Kevin) Wise of Oconomowoc, Kim Malisch of DeForest, Monica (Jim) Tellock of Larsen and Mark (Debbie Darlington Williams) Ganz of Janesville; 13 grandchildren, Matthew, Kurt, Chad, Michael, Angela, Joylynn, Amy, Adam, Jayme, Stephanie, Cody, Luke and Lillian; 20 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Gerald Gorr of Juneau and Eva (Donald) Sadoski of Randolph; her sister-in-law, Joyce Gorr of Randolph, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wilbur, and siblings, Jackie Schroeder, Richard Gorr and Nancy Lea.
Visitation for Jane will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 300 West St., Beaver Dam from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at church at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Paul Stratman will officiate. Burial will take place at Riverside Memorial Park, Fox Lake.
