The Manufacturing Business Alliance of the Dodge County region recently coordinated tours with 8 local high schools and area manufacturers in recognition of Manufacturing Month. The MBA’s efforts included hosting over 250 students touring local manufacturers.

Participating high schools included Beaver Dam, Waupun, Hustisford, Randolph, Fall River, Horicon, Mayville and Dodgeland.  Participating businesses included Apache Stainless Equipment, Federal Mogul, Kirsh Foundry, John Deere Horicon Works, MEC, Breuer Metal Craftsmen, Contree Sprayer & Equipment, Signicast & RCI Engineering.

After students toured at least 2 manufacturers all schools met at John Deere Horicon Works for a lunch and presentations from manufacturing and government leaders.

The MBA is currently recruiting any industry, manufacturers, government agencies or nonprofits such as school districts, that wish to support local manufacturing and promote the family supporting careers that are available at local manufacturers.  Contact Phil Fritsche with the MBA at 920-887-8870, for more information or a membership application.
