Obituary: Charles L. “Chuck” Willard

Charles L. “Chuck” Willard, age 78, of Fox Lake, died on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Continental Manor in Randolph.

The memorial gathering will be at United Methodist Church in Randolph on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Pam Harkema will be officiating.

Charles LeRoy Willard was born on November 30, 1936 to LeRoy and Ruth (Roberts) Willard. He was a 1955 graduate of Cambria High School. On June 14, 1958 Chuck was united in marriage with Dorothy Jean Huebner. Farming was his passion for 40 years. Chuck owned and operated Gold Mine Farm in Randolph and after his retirement, he worked for the Fox Lake Golf Club for 13 years. Chuck served in the United States Army and was a member of the Cambria Legion Post #201. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Randolph and in his free time he enjoyed trap shooting and traveling. Chuck was also a member of the Cambria and Fox Lake Snowmobile Clubs.

Survivors are his daughter, Beth Koenig (Fiancé, Greg Oleszak) of Fox Lake; sisters, Helen Ann Braaksma of Aurora, CO, and Mary Jane (Brian) Kaye of Madison; grandchildren, Kraig Koenig, Karree (Jeff) Cramer, Erik Koenig, Stephanie Willard, and Tamara Willard; great grandchildren, Kaytey Koenig, Lela Cramer, and Kyle Cramer; daughter-in-law, Sharla Willard; a very special high school classmate and friend, Bev Slinger; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and step mother, Margaret Willard; wife, Dorothy; and son, Charles.
