Obituary: Mildred D. Tijerina

Mildred D. Tijerina, age 80, of Beaver Dam, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.

Visitation for Mildred will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, N2296 CTR I near Reeseville, on Friday, January 15, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:50 a.m.  Funeral services will follow at church on Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Rev. Mark Wenzel will officiate.  Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.  Friends may also visit with the family following the burial in the Fellowship Hall at church.

The former Mildred Delores Boldt was born on April 11, 1935 in Reeseville, Wisconsin to the late Charles and Cora (Trump) Boldt.  On January 21, 1955, she was united in marriage with Timoteo Tijerina at Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was a life-long member.  Mildred loved children.  She was always available to babysit for grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She also worked as a daycare assistant at the Beaver Dam YMCA in the early 1990’s.  Mildred will be sadly missed by all who knew her but especially her sister Erline; the two of them were inseparable.

Survivors include four children, Jean Tijerina of Beaver Dam, Linda Quella of Port Washington, Timothy Tijerina (Linda Hemp) of Marshall, and Lisa (Joseph) Hernandez of Beaver Dam; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; her sister, Erline Baird; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Susan Tijerina; a grandson, Jesus Hernandez; and a brother, Merlin Boldt.
