Obituary: Frank Howard Kuenzi

Frank Howard Kuenzi, age 83 of Beaver Dam, passed away after a yearlong battle with Lewy Body Dementia on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Golden Living Center – Continental Manor in Randolph, WI.

Frank was born on September 20, 1932 in Beaver Dam, WI to the late Frank F. and Hazel Louella (Rautenberg) Kuenzi. He graduated from St. Peter Catholic School and Beaver Dam High School with the Class of 1950.  He served during the Korean War in the United States Army and Air Force as a heavy machine mechanic (as a member of SCARWAF) from 1951 to 1954. On February 24, 1962 he was united in marriage to Carol A. Brzezinski at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Beaver Dam, WI. He was a tool and die maker at Malleable Iron Range, instructional teacher at MPTI in Beaver Dam and then worked for Metal Fab as a Design Engineer for 35 years until his retirement. Frank enjoyed playing baseball (DIKES), hunting, fishing, bowling, woodworking, traveling, Bingo and auctions; the grandchildren and their pets.

Frank is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol of Beaver Dam; his children, Russell (Joan) Kuenzi of St. Louis Park, MN, Deborah (Charles) Fischer of Beaver Dam and Patricia (Kevin) Kittleson of Beaver Dam; grandchildren, Dana Kuenzi of St. Louis Park, Emily (Brett Horne) Fischer of Sheboygan, Matthew Fischer of Beaver Dam, Kyle Kittleson of Beaver Dam and Annika Kittleson of Beaver Dam and further survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and family pets, Lucy, Tucker, Maggie and Muffin.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; brother David, sister Patricia, paternal and maternal grandparents, aunts uncles and cousins.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff, doctors and nurses at Golden Living Center – Continental Manor, Hillside Hospice and VA Hospital of Madison for the loving care and support they provided.

Visitation for Frank will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Mike Erwin will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, town of Beaver Dam, with graveside military honors, followed by a luncheon back at Cornerstone.
