Obituary: Judy S. Westra

Judy S. Westra, age 75, of Beaver Dam, went to be with the Lord on  Friday, April 1, 2016, while surrounded by her family.

Visitation for Judy will be at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.  Funeral services will be held at Faith Community Church in Beaver Dam on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be at Randolph Cemetery.

Judith Sue was born on July 3, 1940 in Friesland, Wisconsin to the late William and Martha (Stiemsma) Kok.  She graduated from Cambria High School in 1958 and was united in marriage with Lawrence Westra on June 24, 1959 in Friesland.  Judy worked at American National Bank for a total of 30 years; she also worked at the YMCA for 10 years when her children were young.  In her retirement years, she enjoyed traveling with her husband and family, particularly enjoying cruises.  Judy liked photography, sewing, especially quilting, and volunteering in many ways.  Judy adored her grandchildren and especially enjoyed nurturing them and being involved in their activities, as well as the events of her grandnieces and grandnephews were involved with.  She was an avid Packer and Badger fan.  Judy was a dedicated member of Faith Community Church in Beaver Dam.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Westra of Beaver Dam; two children, Tammy (Bruce) Rens of Waupun and Cindy (John) Klein of Fall River; four grandchildren, Brent and Amy Rens and McKenna and Jared Klein; four brothers and a sister; Larry (Kathie) Kok of Randolph, Rodney (Sandra) Kok of Cambria, Gene (Tammy) Kok of Fox Lake, Jim (Gena) Kok of Cambria, and Brenda (Alan) TeBrink of Durango, CO; three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Doris Kok of Fox Lake, Wayne (Donna) Tavs of Waupun,  Jerry (Mary Ann) Westra of Randolph,  Mary Jane (Duane) Raabe of Denver, CO, and Donna (Jeff) Hyslop of Eagle River; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

If desired, memorials may be made to Faith Community Church for missionaries Dan & DeAnn Gerard and Jill Dykstra.
