James Wesley Zieske was born on April 28, 1943 to Arnold and Florence (Ellis) Zieske in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. He was a 1961 graduate of Beaver Dam High School and furthered his studies at UW Oshkosh, graduating in 1966. In October of 1965, Jim was united in marriage with Lynette A. Anderson. He taught the 5th grade in Janesville for a year, then came back to Beaver Dam, where he taught for nine years at South Beaver Dam. Jim became a real estate broker at Keefe & Associates and Century 21, earning the credit of Realtor of the Year as well as being President of the Dodge County Realtor Association in 1980. Jim worked for ten years with the Farm Credit Service out of Madison, specializing in managing and selling acquired properties. He also spent ten years obtaining sites for cell towers for US Cellular and CenturyTel in three states. Jim spent his remaining years obtaining easements and leases for Alliant Energy and We Energies. In his spare time, his focus was music. Jim sang, played guitar, organ, and was a past choir director at the former St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Jim spent countless hours in his man cave where he enjoyed all the “necessities” in life. He was an avid Wisconsin sports fan. Jim’s greatest joy in life was his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors are his children, Michelle Robillard (Eric Minkowski) of Kenosha, Bill (Jodi) Zieske of Beaver Dam, and Craig (Melissa) Zieske of Beaver Dam; grandchildren, Adrian and Aaron Robillard, Samantha Carter, Trae Kvammen, and Rebecca Zieske, and Lucas Zieske; sister, Gerry (Mike) Voigt of Beaver Dam; brothers, Les (Louise) Zieske, and Russ (Sandi) Zieske both of Beaver Dam; brother-in-law, Charlie Christian of Beaver Dam; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
