Obituary: Wilbert E. “Mike” Kienast

Wilbert E. “Mike” Kienast, age 90, died Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam. 

Visitation for Mike will be at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 10:00 am to 10:50 am.  Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 am with Rev. Mark Wenzel officiating.  Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens.

Wilbert Emil Kienast was born on January 26, 1926 in the Town of Oak Grove, Dodge County, Wisconsin to the late Emil and Anna (Schultz) Kienast.  On September 14, 1947, he was united in marriage with Evelyn Neitzel who preceded him in death in January 1972.  On April 3, 1976, he was united in marriage with Josephine Lonsdale in Ft. Atkinson.  Mike farmed throughout his life in the Oak Grove and Burnett areas.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine Kienast of Beaver Dam; two children, Duane (Helen) Kienast of Burnett and Dianne Staude of Watertown; five grandchildren, Angela (John) Krzyzaniak of New Berlin, Justin (Tara) Kienast of Beaver Dam, Rebecca (Daniel) Strieff of Burnett, Mattea (Dennis) Betschler of Watertown, and Marianne (Cesar) Camargo Castro of Texas; eleven  great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Norbert Gerbitz; two sisters-in-law, Charlotte Neitzel of Beaver Dam and Phyllis Werner of Louisiana; other relatives and friends.  Wilbert was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Evelyn; a son-in-law, Daryl Staude; his brother, Ewald Kienast; three sisters, Verona (Wilbert) Grulke, Marcella Gerbitz, Helen (Melvin) Otto; and two brothers-in-law, Lester Neitzel and Victor Kohrt.
