Obituary: Gladys “Gwen” Gwendolyn Ganz

Gladys “Gwen” Gwendolyn Ganz, age 87 of Fox Lake, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Marvin’s Manor in Waupun.

Gwen was born on January 21, 1929 in Randolph, daughter of Henry & Gladys Pritchard. Gwen grew up in Randolph, graduated from Randolph High School, and married Reuben Ganz in 1949. They resided in Fox Lake, where she was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Gwen was employed at Miles Kimble in Oshkosh and Weyenberg Shoe Factory in Beaver Dam. She was a member of the Fox Lake American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. Gwen enjoyed playing golf with Reuben, passing on the tradition to her son Rob and grandson Bruce. She also enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers, Badgers, PGA golf and game shows. Her family meant the world to her, and she treasured all of the holiday get-togethers. Gwen also had a special place in her heart for dogs.

Gwen is survived by her son, Robert “Rob” William (Vicky) Ganz of Waupun; 2 grandchildren, Bruce Robert Ganz and Rebecca Jean Ganz, both of Waupun; 1 step-granddaughter, Tiffany Ann Elliott of Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Gwen was preceded in death by her husband Reuben in 1982; her parents; nephew and Godson, Randy Neitzel; niece, Cheri Neitzel; 2 sisters, Marge (Glenn) Pierce and Marilyn (Bob) Lloyd.

A memorial gathering for Gwen will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam. Inurnment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, town of Trenton, with a luncheon to follow at the Fox Lake American Legion.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Dodge County Humane Society or Macular Degeneration Society.
