The Beaver Dam Rotary Club is excited to announce that the creation of Beaver Dam Rotary Riverwalk Park began today, along the Beaver Dam River in downtown Beaver Dam.

“We are excited that development of the park is finally underway!” stated Beaver Dam Chamber President Phil Fritsche, who has served as one of the two Chairpersons of the Rotary Park Committee for the local Beaver Dam Rotary Club.

The park will be a gift to the citizens of Beaver Dam by the Rotary Club, and is intended to be only the first segment of a longer riverside park system.

Phase 1 of the park will initially include a concrete riverside walk from Mill Street to the pedestrian bridge alongside the east side of the Beaver Dam River in the East Tower Parking Lot downtown.  Phase 2 is being determined and may include a covered shelter at the widest part of the new park.

The Rotary Club plans on doing many of the plantings and will gratefully accept contributions for the development of the park.
