Obituary: Lucy Lisser

Lucy Lisser, age 98 of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

Lucy was born on January 13, 1918 in Monroe, WI, the daughter of John and Alma (McDaniel) Kundert. She was united in marriage to Otto Lisser in 1940. They moved to Beaver Dam in 1955, where she and Otto owned and operated Lisser & Maier men’s clothing store downtown. Lucy was also a legal secretary for several years at a local attorney’s office. She enjoyed playing bridge, golfing and reading. She was also a charter member of the Partners of Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

Lucy is survived by her daughter, Susan (Rick) Cantlin, grandson, Jeff (Mandie) Cantlin, granddaughter, Tracy (Greg) McCloskey, and 4 great-grandsons, all of Pennsylvania; nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband and brother, Alvin.

A memorial gathering for Lucy will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Mark Jensen will officiate. Inurnment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, Beaver Dam.
