Obituary: Alice F. Daniel

Alice F. Daniel, age 98 of Juneau and formerly of Lowell, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Clearview in Juneau.

Alice was born on March 27, 1918 in the town of Lowell, the daughter of John and Ada (Schoenwetter) Leistico. On July 25, 1938, she was united in marriage to William Schoenwetter; he preceded her in death in 1977. She was later married to Ralph Daniel, who also preceded her in death. Alice worked at Aunt Nellie’s in Clyman and enjoyed helping out at the meal site in Lowell. She was a member of Salem Ev. Lutheran Church in Lowell, where she enjoyed being a part of the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed fishing at her place on Crystal Lake by Lodi, listening to the Barn Show, as well as playing euchre and other card games.

Alice is survived by her sons, Albert (Marlene) Schoenwetter of Beaver Dam and Allen (Judie) Schoenwetter of Fort Walton Beach, FL; her daughter-in-laws, Phyllis Schoenwetter of Adams and Karen Schoenwetter of Juneau; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Doris Leistico and Lorraine Leistico, both of Beaver Dam; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; two sons, Roger and Rodney; daughter, Bertha; brothers, Jack, Bob and William Leistico and sisters, Marge Hart, Helen Heiling and Edith Soldner.

Visitation for Alice will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Salem Ev. Lutheran Church, 105 Juneau St., Lowell from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Rev. Paul Vander Galien will officiate. Burial will take place at Lowell Cemetery.

If desired, memorials in Alice’s name may be directed to Salem Ev. Lutheran Church.
