Obituary: Jacoba “Koby” Loeffler

Jacoba “Koby” Loeffler, 95, of Beaver Dam passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at the Charleston House in Beaver Dam with her family by her side.

Jacoba was born the daughter of Andrew and Gertrude (Van Zwieten) Braaksma on January 12, 1921 in Chicago.  She was married to Royce Loeffler on October 5, 1940 at St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.  She was employed as a sales person for J.C. Penny for 23 years.  Jacoba was a member of St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.  After retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling with numerous friends, including many trips to Montana to see their daughter.  Jacoba also enjoyed quilting, baking, and gardening.

Jacoba is survived by her children: Linda (Andre) Altans of Bozeman, MT, Mary Jo (Robert) Banks of Beaver Dam, and Tom (Carla) Loeffler of Beaver Dam; her sister,Adrianna Willis of Oceanside, CA; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Royce in 2013, and her siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2016 at St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.  The Rev. Paul Stratman will officiate.  A visitation will also be held on Monday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service.  Interment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, township of Trenton.
