Gerald L. Welch, age 72, of Fox Lake, died on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Select Specialty Hospital in Madison, from injuries that he sustained in a motorcycle accident. Although we are sad, his death is a result of doing something that he loved, so we can’t help it, to just be grateful that he doesn’t have to suffer.

The visitation will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. There will also be a visitation at Annunciation Catholic Church in Fox Lake on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until 1:50 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the church on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. John Radetski officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

Gerald Lee Welch was born on June 18, 1944 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to James and Helen (Frank) Welch. He owned and operated a dairy farm in Fox Lake, along with his son. On September 18, 1982, he was united in marriage with Judy Cigelske at Annunciation Catholic Church in Fox Lake where he was a longtime member. Jerry’s greatest joys were his Harley, his farm and his family. He would spend his free time tinkering outside and feeding his animals. Jerry loved the outdoors, the Packers, and NASCAR. He also enjoyed visiting with friends and drinking a High Life from time to time. His sense of humor and quick wit will be missed by many.
