Obituary: Stewart James Marx

Stewart James Marx, 56, of Burnett passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 12, 2016.

A private celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016.

Stewart was born on August 19, 1960 in Beaver Dam the son of Earl and Marilyn (Johnson) Marx. He was a 1978 graduate of Horicon High School. In 1979 he then enlisted in the Wisconsin National Guard; he later enlisted in the Army Reserve. On January 16, 1982 Stewart was united in marriage with Kristine Hupf at St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Horicon, and they had two children.

Stewart was a very talented PVC welder, and worked for Infinity Plastics in Mayville. He loved the outdoors, and being in nature. He recently took up hobbies of composting, gardening, and canning food. His wiener dogs were very important to him and were part of his family.

He is survived by his significant other of 16 years, Vicky Pease of Burnett, children; Stephanie (Chris) Baker of Horicon, and Benjamin (Katie) Marx of Mayville, his grandchildren; Abigail, Lukas, Anthony, and Brayden, siblings; Peter (Barbara Stoltz) Marx of Johnson City, NY, Randall (Clara) Marx of Juneau, and Elizabeth (Mark) Werner of Beaver Dam, and Vicky’s children; Tanya Schmitt, Leland Schmitt, III, and Keith Schmitt. He is furthered survived by other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends

Stewart was preceded in death by his parents.
