Obituary: Scott S. Thompson

Scott S. Thompson, age 60, of Beaver Dam, died peacefully on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Golden Living Center.

There will be a celebration of Scott’s life at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Friday, November 11, 2016, starting with a gathering from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home on Friday at 1:00 p.m. with Chaplain Dennis Richards officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at Highland Memorial Gardens, Town of Trenton, Dodge County, Wisconsin. Please come dressed in your favorite Packer garb, as that was Scott’s dying wish.

Scott Steven Thompson was born on September 29, 1956 in Nampa, Idaho to Keith and Marian (Harder) Thompson. Scott worked in the Beaver Dam area at several different manufacturing companies, his most recent being North American Container, retiring in 2011. Scott and Sandi Morris were blessed in front of God and their closest friends in a commitment ceremony on November 2, 2016. He was the Packer’s #1 Fan and a bit of an outdoorsman. Scott loved fishing and nature. He especially loved taking his canine companion, Precious, out for walks.

Survivors are his life companion, Sandi Morris of Beaver Dam; children, Jason Thompson of Beaver Dam and Shelly Thompson of Mayville; three grandchildren; sister, Linda Thompson of Beaver Dam; nephews, Heath of Sun Prairie and Troy of Beaver Dam; best friend, Larry (Sherry) Zuhlke of Desoto; his loyal canine, Precious; former step daughter, Desirae (Steve) Bochte of Sun Prairie; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his former step daughter, Amber.
