Everyone knows about the Rose Bowl, the Cotton Bowl and even the Fiesta Bowl. But who knows about Hustisford’s annual Toilet Bowl? It is something to experience and you don’t have to pay lots of money to see it. It will take place Sunday, January 1. This is the 52nd year that the public has the opportunity to attend one of the holiday season’s most bizarre and fun events! Some people compare the event to giant frat party. Lots of “potty” references, some beer drinking, toilet paper throwing and music. It’s a tradition you have to experience!

Activities for this year’s event will include musical entertainment, water barrel fights and the popular parade. The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. Be prepared to get toilet paper thrown at you! After the parade is the Toilet Bowl pull (tug of war, rope pull competition) which will be held at noon on the Firemen’s Park ball field. D.J. Jesse James will be playing tunes upstairs at The Community Hall from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. Come and join the fun! Food and drinks will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and there is no cover charge!

Water barrel fights sponsored by the Hustisford Fire Department will begin at 1:00 p.m. The Community Hall  will be open 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Packer game will be on at noon so don’t let that keep you away. There will be football games on all day on six TV’s. Food will be served by the Hustisford Lions Club downstairs at the Community Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Anyone interested in participating in the parade is invited to come down to the staging area on Griffith Street at 10:30 a.m.  Advance registration is not required. There will be prizes awarded to the top entries.

The event began as a game of tackle football among friends gathering at a local bar in Hustisford to wear off their New Year’s hangovers and extra pounds picked up over the holidays. The tackle no pads football game continued for many years but due to liability concerns it was discontinued a few years ago. This annual event  was a fundraiser for the Hustisford Fire Department for many years and now is a fundraiser for the Hustisford Community Hall.

Hustisford is located on the beautiful Rock River near Lake Sinissippi in Dodge County, WI.
