Obituary: Edward “Eddy” W. Galey

Edward “Eddy” W. Galey, age 68 of Beaver Dam, passed away at home on Saturday, January 14, 2017.

Eddy was born in Chicago, IL on November 27, 1948, the son of Theresa and Robert Galey. He was the proud owner and operator of American Freedom Trucking. In his earlier years, Eddy enjoyed fishing on his boat and hunting. He also loved riding his Harley with Joy and his friends. Eddy was very generous, proudly supporting the Freedom Riders and Patriot Guard Riders.

Eddy is survived by his special friend, Joy Poppe of Beaver Dam; his children, Sheryl Molter (Paul Chalupnik) of Hanover Park, IL, Joseph Galey, Catherine Kenevan and also his “son” Matt, all of Beaver Dam; his granddaughters, Ava Schumann and Kayla Kenevan; great-granddaughter, Zoey; his favorite uncle, Bill; aunt, Sister Louise; and further survived by nieces, other relatives and many friends.

Eddy was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Rosemary and other relatives.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Eddy’s life on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Jumpers, W9305 Cty Rd D, Beaver Dam, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
