Obituary: Harold D. Schoenberger

Harold D. Schoenberger, age 89, of Beaver Dam, died on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Hillside Manor.

The memorial gathering will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the John E. Miller American Legion Post #146.

Harold Donald Schoenberger was born on August 7, 1927 in Lowell, Wisconsin to Ernst and Lulu (Hunter) Schoenberger. During WWII, he enlisted in the United States Army in 1945 and was honorably discharged in 1946. Harold was united in marriage with Marty Billing on June 13, 1953, in Juneau, Wisconsin. He worked at John Deere in Horicon and in his spare time he was a Little League Commissioner, while his children were young. After 30 years at John Deere, he retired in the 1980’s, as a Quality Control Supervisor. 

Survivors are his children, Gregg (Jill) Schoenberger and Eric (Stella) Schoenberger, all of Beaver Dam; grandson, Spencer Schoenberger of Waukesha; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marty; sisters and brother, Jean Scherer, Lois Mathews, HowardSchoenberger; and daughter-in-law, Heidi Schoenberger.
