Obituary: Alvira N. Key

Alvira N. Key, age 76, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the Remembrance Home in Beaver Dam.

Funeral services will be private.  Burial will be at Hustisford Cemetery.

The former Alvira Nann Mareno was born on July 26, 1940 in Trout Creek, Michigan to the late Paul and Josephine Mareno, the youngest of nine children.  She graduated from Trout Creek High School in 1958.  On August 26, 1974, Alvira was united in marriage with Willard H. Key in Watertown.

Alvira was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Juneau.  She enjoyed going back to Ontonagon, Michigan and would be sure to get the local newspapers to keep current on the news; she was proud to be a “Yooper”.  She also enjoyed music and often listened to the Polka station out of Hartford.  Alvira enjoyed gardening, helping babysit her grandchildren, and loved her poodle, Lacey.

Survivors include her five children, Kimberly Davidson of Milwaukee, Kevin (Denise) Davidson of Ontonagon, MI, Tiffany Key of Hustisford, Janelle Davidson of Beaver Dam, and Kara (Dennis) Sandley of Beaver Dam; 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.  Alvira was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and severalbrothers and sisters.

If desired, memorials may be made to Hillside Hospice or Dodge County Dementia Concerns Coalition.

The family would like to thank Kathy Bates and all of the staff at the Remembrance Home, as well as Hillside Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Alvira.
