Obituary: Robert W. Rabehl

Robert W. Rabehl, age 74 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at home.

Robert was born on April 27, 1942 in Beaver Dam, the son of Harold and Verdella (Veling) Rabehl. He was united in marriage to Judith Levy on June 29, 1963 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. He worked at Maysteel in Mayville for 43 1/2 years, where he earned the recognition of the 25th Century Club. He enjoyed boating on his pontoon and taking his camper on many adventures. He was an avid Wisconsin Badger fan, but nothing compared to the love he had for his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his wife, Judith of Beaver Dam; his children, Robert J. (Lisa) Rabehl and Kim Zellar, both of Beaver Dam; his grandchildren, Alex Rabehl, Katie Rabehl, Levi (Haley) Rabehl and Megan Zellar; his great-grandchildren, Mason Przybyiski and Scarlet Rabehl; and further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and other relatives.

A memorial gathering will be held to celebrate Robert’s life on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam. Inurnment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.
