St. Patrick’s Day – Extra Patrol

Friday, March 17th is St. Patrick’s Day. Many communities in our area will be celebrating the day with corned beef, cabbage and Irish stew. We also know that people use this day to consume green beer. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team will be conducting extra traffic enforcement to create a safe environment for everyone. Members of the team will be conducting extra patrol throughout Dodge County from 12 PM on March 17 until 4 AM on March 18, focusing on the traffic safety. We hope our presence and the advance notice of our presence will help to deter driving under the influence.  It is never our goal to make arrests, but rather prevent the illegal and dangerous choice of driving while under the influence before it happens.  Have a great time this weekend but please don’t test the luck of the Irish.  Make the safe choice to have a designated driver so that at the end of the day, everyone makes it home safely to their families.

Questions may be directed to Sheriff Dale J Schmidt.
