Obituary: Robert “Bob” D. Schutte

Robert “Bob” D. Schutte, age 69 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017 at UW-Hospital in Madison.

Robert was born on August 25, 1947 in Beaver Dam, the son of Marvin “Pete” and Alice (Sylvester) Schutte. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1966. Following high school, he was drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam War. On April 24, 1971, Bob was united in marriage to Annie Reinhard at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. He worked at Monarch Range in Beaver Dam, followed by many years at John Deere in Horicon until retirement. Bob also kept busy working on their farmand especially enjoyed helping his granddaughters with their fair animals. In his free time, he enjoyed going to the races in Beaver Dam with friends and visiting with neighbors. He treasured all of the time he spent with his daughters and granddaughters.

Bob is survived by his wife, Annie of Beaver Dam; daughters, Sandy (Robert) Bird and Tammy (Randy) Minnig, both of Beaver Dam; granddaughters, Taylor, Lexi and Olivia Bird; brother, Ron Schutte (Sue Johnson) of Beaver Dam; sisters, Marilyn (Don) Niedermair of Columbus and Carol (Mick) Adams of Michigan; sister-in-law, Roseanne Schutte of Beaver Dam; and further survived by other relatives and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Tonya; brother, Roger Schutte and other relatives.

Visitation for Bob will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam. A graveside service with military honors will take place at 3:00 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, Beaver Dam.
