Thea O’Connor, Executive Director, Church Health Services (CHS) and Bob Gionet, RN, CHS Parish Nurse Coordinator recently received a donation from Mayville American Legion Post 69 and American Legion Auxiliary. Presented by Ron Pfalzgraf, Mayville Legion Post 69 Finance Officer, and Marilyn Finke, Mayville Auxiliary Unit 69 Treasurer, this donation will help CHS, a United Way agency; continue to address the medical, mental health and dental needs of those who are of low income, underinsured or uninsured in our area communities. Clinics are primarily staffed by volunteer health care providers, nurses, dentists and dental hygienists.
The organization also partners with local congregations and their Parish Nurses to help them become centers for health and healing.
