James Leland Marriott, 79, of Beaver Dam passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Bay Harbor Assisted Living in Beaver Dam.
James was born on December 2, 1937 the son of William Leland (Lee) and Grace Gertrude (Pratt) Marriott in Houston, Texas.
He was a High School graduate and attended a variety of college classes throughout his life. He had been employed as a draftsman and other jobs for many years. He was associated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Beaver Dam.
James is survived by his four sons: Darrell W. (Linda) Marriott of West Jordan, UT, Joseph Marriott of Sandy, Utah, George Marriott of Sayre, PA and Jesse (Lynda) Marriott of Sayre, PA; his former wife Kathryn Barbour of Beaver Dam; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his second wife Elaine Boardman Marriott.
A visitation for James will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from noon until 1:00 p.m. at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 N. Crystal Lake Road, Beaver Dam. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Branch President Jed Harris officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Arkansas.
