Obituary: Courtney Marie Johnson

Courtney Marie Johnson, age 24, died Sunday, May 28, 2017 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Visitation for Courtney will be at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 4:00 p.m.  Following the service, everyone is invited to Courtney’s parents’ house for a light lunch.

Courtney Marie Johnson was born on November 5, 1992 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Gregory and Jill (Brogley) Johnson.  She graduated from Dodgeland High School in 2011.  Courtney was strong willed and independent but she was also loving and caring; she was always willing to help someone in need and would gladly give the shirt off her back, literally, if you needed it.  Courtney was a great mom and her love for her son Cole gave her purpose and direction in life.

Courtney is survived by her son Cole Joshua-Spike Zietlow and Cole’s father Joshua Zietlow; she is further survived by her parents, Greg & Jill Johnson of Juneau; her sister and brother, Kari Annette (James) Bamberg of Juneau and Ryan (Stacy) Bamberg of Lomira; two nephews and a niece; Tyler, Austin, and Aliyah; paternal grandparents, Will & Pat Johnson of Rock Falls, IL, and Judith K. Johnson of OR; maternal grandmother, Joyce Brogley of Cuba City; two uncles and an aunt, Marc Brogley of Platteville, Tim (Michelle) Johnson of Seward, AK, and Laura (John) Sullivan of OR; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Ralph “Spike” Brogley.
