Margaret Bertha Cleland, age 92 of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Eagle’s Wings in Beaver Dam.

Margaret was born on August 28, 1924, the daughter of Fred and Dora (Ritter) Bleuer. She graduated from Cambria High School and worked at Weyenberg Shoe Factory for many years. She was united in marriage to Edward “Irish” Cleland in June of 1944 in Cambria. Going to flea markets was something she enjoyed, especially when she found some hens on nests to add to her collection. Her family, most notably her nieces and nephews, were very dear to her heart. She was like a second mother to her sister’s children, Nancy, John, Jim and Kathy.

Margaret is survived by nieces and nephews, Kathy (Ron) Roit of Greenfield, James Wright of Cambria, William (Mary) Bleuer and their daughter, Nicole, of Waukesha, Heidi Mann of Michigan, Clara Cleland of Adams, Nicholas Wright and his children, Kenzie and Collin, of Cambria; and further survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Edwin and Wilbert Bleuer; sister, Eleanor Wright; and niece, Nancy Worden and nephew, John Wright.

Visitation for Margaret will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 300 West St., Beaver Dam from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Paul Stratman officiating.
