Obituary: Arthur D. Yaroch

Arthur D. Yaroch, age 89, of Beaver Dam, died on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

A memorial gathering will be held at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 511 South Spring Street in Beaver Dam, on Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the church on Wednesday at 11:00 AM. Inurnment will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Town of Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin.

Arthur Daniel Yaroch was born on March 25, 1928 in Waupun, Wisconsin to the late John and Harriet (Drzonek) Yaroch.   After graduating from Waupun High School, Art served in the United States Coast Guard.  On May 30, 1952 he was united in marriage with Mary L. Schenk at St. Michael’s Church in Beaver Dam. Art enjoyed activities like bowling and horseshoes and he also served as the caretaker at St. Michael’s Cemetery for many years.  He was very active with St. Michael’s Church for many years and served as an usher. Art was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, the Knights of Columbus St. Pope John XXIII Council 1837 in Beaver Dam, and the John E. Miller American Legion Post #146 in Beaver Dam.

Survivors include his sons, Dale Yaroch, Dallas, TX, and Thomas Yaroch of Beaver Dam; twin grandchildren, Marie and Roy Yaroch; his sister, Evelyn Ulmer of Horicon; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a brother, Merlyn Yaroch; and a sister, Esther Rauguth.

The family suggests that memorials be made in Arthur Yaroch’s name to the John E. Miller American Legion Post #146, 300 Beichl Ave, Beaver Dam, WI  53916.
