Rhonda Steiner, President of the Beaver Dam Noon Kiwanis presents a donation to Thea O’Connor, Executive Director, Church Health Services (CHS). This donation will help CHS, a United Way agency, continue to address the mental health and dental needs of children whose parents are of low income, underinsured or uninsured in our area communities. CHS Counselors work with Beaver Dam School District Counselors to teach students skills and coping strategies to better deal with difficult situations such as bullying, stress management and anger issues. They have continued to see their clients over the summer either at a school or at CHS.
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. The Beaver Dam Noon Kiwanis has a long and strong history of service in Beaver Dam. Funds raised by Kiwanis clubs are used to provide financial support to many community organizations.
