Obituary: Grace Ann Lehner, age 68

Grace Ann Lehner, 68, of the Town of Beaver Dam passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.

A visitation for Grace will be held on Thursday, December 7th from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with rosary being prayed at 6:45 p.m., at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 N. Crystal Lake Road, Beaver Dam, WI, and on Friday, December 8th at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m.  Interment will follow at Leipsig Cemetery, S. Center Street Road south of Beaver Dam, WI.

Grace was born on June 12, 1949, the daughter of Eugene Louis and Virginia Ann (Colby) Penman in Beaver Dam.  She was a Beaver Dam High School graduate and also a graduate of Bellen Nursing School in Green Bay.  Grace had been employed as a Registered Nurse for Dr. Vrabec, St. Joseph Hospital and at Medical Associates, all in Beaver Dam, and also in Arizona and Oklahoma.  On May 26, 2007 she was united in marriage to Herbert Lehner Jr. in Beaver Dam.

Grace had been a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, a supporter of Right to Life, Pregnancy Support Center of Dodge County, and a volunteer for St. Vincent DePaul.  She enjoyed gardening and knitting.  She also loved sports and was an avid fan of the Packers and the Brewers.

Grace is survived by her husband Herbert “Herbie”; her daughter Virginia (Russ) Morgan of Claremore, OK; step-children: Claire (Jim) Admire of Marshfield, MO, Mary (Kevin) Rohde of Beaver Dam, Maggie (Tracy) Brock of Trevor, WI, Dan (Trina) Lehner of Beaver Dam, Mike (Fiancée Becky Pfotenhauer) Lehner of Beaver Dam, and Joey (Lindsey) Lehner of Beaver Dam; her brother Richard Penman of Beaver Dam and her sister Kathleen (Paul) Dunham of Claremore, OK; grandchild Colby; and eight step grandchildren.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
