Our loving father, Theodore Michael Yerges, died peacefully while surrounded by his loved ones on Tuesday, May 1, 2018.

Theodore served in the Korean War and was a proud veteran. He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Violet (King) of Beaver Dam; his loving children, Debra (Mike) of Beaver Dam, Randy of Beaver Dam, Amy (Paul) of Sun Prairie and Ronald of Mayville; grandchildren, Tommy, Carrie, Adrienne, Jason, Kyle, Corey and Caitlin; great-grandchildren,  Hailey, Jordhin, Jayden, Jase, Dante, Adaleigh, Austin and Alden; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Clara and Theodore Yerges; brother, Alexander; sister, Myrtle and other relatives.

Theodore enjoyed being surrounded by his family and cherished every moment he spent with them. He was a loving man with a positive outlook on life’s ups and downs. You could often count on him to make a joke or kid about the weather, and he had a smile that would light up a room. Of all the careers he had in his life, he will be most remembered for his love of baking. He was a successful baker for Super-Value of Beaver Dam, Bon-ton Baker, Orv and Wally’s and in his home, where you could always expect something warm and delicious to pop out of the oven. In retirement, Ted enjoyed being outdoors riding the lawn tractor and tending to their lake home. He had a love for Western movies and enjoyed watching country shows. He was a big John Wayne fan. Theodore had an amazing life and will be missed, but never forgotten.

Visitation for Theodore will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
