Obituary: Elaine J. Leto, age 94

Elaine J. Leto, age 94, formerly of New Berlin and Horicon, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the Charleston House – Memory Care in Beaver Dam.

The visitation will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral in Beaver Dam on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon.

Elaine June Wieck was born on June 26, 1923 in Oak Park, IL to Arnold and Alma Wieck. On July 11, 1942, she was united in marriage with Herman A. Leto. Elaine’s career revolved around raising her children and helping out on the family’s mushroom farm.  Elaine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother; family always came first. Elaine was a longtime member of Elm Grove Lutheran Church.

Survivors are her Daughter, Sharon Cook of Watertown; Grandchildren, Jeffery (Binky) Leto of Fall River, Desiree (Dan) Dujmic of Grafton, Rebecca (Brett) Belkola of Oconomowoc, Amy (Jon) Berg of FL, and Angie Leto of CO; Great Grandchildren, Nicole Leto, Damon (Molly) Leto, Alexandra and Zach Dujmic, Emma Peterson, and Isabella and Charlie Berg; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herman; sons, Donald and David; sister, Barbara Palmer; and son-in-law, Mike Cook.

Memorials may be made in Elaine’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
