Obituary: Donald M Glamann, age 87

Donald M Glamann, age 87, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at his home in Wautoma surrounded by his loving family.

Born on a farm in the Town of Hustisford, he was the son of Emil and Esther (Thom) Glamann. Don was a proud Korean War veteran and was a member of the American Legion. He was employed by the City of Horicon for 40 years, most of that time as Superintendant of Public Works. After his retirement, he was President of Oak Hill Cemetery Association and worked for the Cemetery for 10 years. He will be remembered  for the various projects that he worked on in his shop and his wonderful sense of humor.

Don is survived by his daughter, Heidi  (Mike) Strauss of Wautoma; son, Michael (Carolyn) Glamann of Waupun; grandchildren, Jordan (Jennifer) Glamann, Ashley Glamann, Dillion (Jennifer) Glamann, Sabrina Douglas, Rae Adkison, Tanya (Eric) Johnson, Michael Glamann, Kristin Glamann; great-grandchildren, Aaliyah, Isaiah, Hailey, Grady, Harper, Brisbane and one he adopted with his heart Kolina Candlish, daughter of Jim and Kristina Candlish.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Janet in 1972; brothers Vernon and Palmer; sisters Viola, Ruth, Pearl and Bernice; son Douglas Glamann in 2010 and his dear friend John Lynch.

Visitation for Don will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon.
