Obituary: Audrey L. Zanon, age 86

Audrey L. Zanon, age 86, of Beaver Dam, died Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the Charleston House in Beaver Dam.

A memorial gathering will be held at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  A memorial service will follow at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 12:30 p.m.  Deacon Ed Cody will officiate.  Inurnment will be at St. Anthony Cemetery in Niagara, Wisconsin.

Audrey was born on August 2, 1931 in Niagara, Wisconsin to the late Eugene and Ada (nee: Amond) Pilon.  Following graduation from Niagara High School in 1949, Audrey was united in marriage with Raymond Zanon on August 23, 1950.  After moving to Beaver Dam, she worked at Bank One for 25 years, retiring as a loan officer in the early 1990’s.  Audrey was very social and loved to volunteer.  She volunteered in several departments at the hospital in Beaver Dam, beginning back when it was Lakeside Hospital.  She served on the Dodge County Fair Board for 30 years and was recognized for her service in the annual Fair Book in 2017.  Audrey also volunteered for Meals-on-Wheels, PALs, and as an Election Official at the voting polls.  In her spare time, Audrey enjoyed crafts, knitting, reading, travel (especially her memorable trip to Australia), fishing, and playing the organ and keyboard.  She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish.

Survivors include her children, Linda (Ron) Beich and Keith Zanon, both of Beaver Dam; four grandchildren, Kurt Broitzman of Beaver Dam, Jesse Zanon of Dallas, TX, Heather (Tony) Brown of New Berlin, and Jacob (special friend Emily) Zanon of Holmen; three great grandchildren, Katelyn, Josiah, and Chanelle; seven brothers and sisters, David Pilon of Sheboygan, Carol Westberg of Pound, Mary (Glen) Bierstaker of Waupaca, Cleo (John) Graff of Beaver Dam, Raymond (Linda) Pilon of Niagara, Nancy (Dave) Reichardt of Crivitz, and Jim (Mary) Pilon of Niagara; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Daniel Zanon; and two sisters, Beatrice Seidel and Jeanette DeGroot.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Audrey Zanon’s name to St. Katharine Drexel Parish Church Renovation Fund.
