Obituary: Caroline A. Kohl, age 82

Caroline A. Kohl, 82, of Waupun passed away peacefully on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Prairie Ridge Assisted Living in Waupun.

Caroline was born on May 20, 1936 the daughter of Alden and Vera (Salzman) Rogers in Kankakee, IL.  She was a 1954 graduate of Beaver Dam High School.  On September 10, 1955, she was united in marriage to Milton F. Kohl in Beaver Dam.

Caroline enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her children.  She enjoyed making crafts, painting and latch hooking rugs.  She especially enjoyed her shopping trips with her children through the years.  At times, she even assisted her husband Milton with window washing.  Caroline enjoyed singing karaoke with her late son Alan “Willie’s Shadow”.  She was a loving and thoughtful mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed.

Caroline is survived by her son Michael and her daughter Patricia both of Beaver Dam; three grandchildren Brandon Sterr, Justin Kohl and Kevin Bruesch; daughter-in-law Diane Kohl of Waupun; her brother Thomas (Betsy) Rogers of Juneau; brother-in-law Eugene “Jake” Schoeffel of Juneau and sisters-in-law: Hermine Kohl, Sharon Kohl and Carolyn Bibow all of Beaver Dam.  She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Milton in 2017, son Alan “Willie’s Shadow” in 2018, brothers Ronald Rogers 2013 and David Rogers 2004, her sister Gloria Schoeffel in 2001 and two brothers in infancy.

A Committal Service for Caroline and her husband Milton will be at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Father John Simon officiating.
