The Oak Ridge Boys to perform Thursday of the Fair

Stop out to the Dodge County Fair on August 16 for a delightful performance that has entertained fans at the Dodge County Fair year-after-year. Wrap up your week with The Oak Ridge Boys, who will be making their fourth appearance at the fair on Thursday, August 16 at 8:00 pm.

Attend with a friend or bring the family for this upbeat and uplifting performance. Fans young and old will dance and sing along to hit-after-hit from the country gospel quartet. Familiar hit sensations, “Bobbie Sue”, “Elvira” and “American Made” – among more than a dozen national Number One singles and over thirty Top Ten hits will get crowds on their feet. Fans can’t help but sing along.

The Oak Ridge Boys have been entertaining fans for decades, but that doesn’t mean that they are slowing down any time soon. They still perform some 150 shows each year at fairs, festivals and theaters. The group recently released their newest album, “17th Avenue Revival”, which was produced with Dave Cobb at Nashville’s historic RCA Studio A. The Oaks were also interviewed and featured in an in-depth interview with Dan Rather during The Big Interview earlier this spring. This winter, the quartet will tour with country music sensations, Ricky Skaggs, Joe Diffie, Patty Loveless, Jeff Foxworthy, Ronnie Milsap and other big names in country music during the traveling Country Music Cruise – a true music party at sea.

One of the first Country music videos was produced by the group and they have appeared before five presidents. Over the years, the group has collected twelve gold, three platinum and one double platinum album. They are truly legendary and their performance promises to be legendary itself.

FREE evening entertainment will also include a unique lineup that includes the Badger State Truck and Tractor Pull on Wednesday evening, starting at 7:00 pm. Country music sensation, Chris Janson will perform on the grandstand stage on Friday at 8:00 pm, with legends Foghat and Grand Funk Railroad entertaining the crowd on Saturday evening with a back-to-back performance. The Dodge County Fair attracts close to 45,000 attendees annually during the five-day festival. Attendees travel from all over Wisconsin to experience the fair and the free evening entertainment.

Concert and tractor pull attendees will enjoy free parking and evening event admission for the duration of the fair. Fair admission is required. 2018 Dodge County Fair season tickets are only $27 before August 15 and $35 at the gate. Attend the fair for an affordable admission price of $5.40 per day with the purchase of a 2018 season ticket.  Daily gate admission is $7 before 12:00 pm; or $10 after 12:00 pm.  Children age nine and under receive free admission.
