Obituary: Beverly “Bev” M. Dinkel, age 85

Beverly “Bev” M. Dinkel, age 85 of Fox Lake, passed away at Beaver Dam Community Hospital on Tuesday, August 21, 2018.

Beverly was born on October 17, 1932 in the Town of Beaver Dam to Lester and Cecelia (Schmeling) DeMund. On September 24, 1955, she was united in marriage to Werner A. Dinkel at First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Beverly worked hard on the farm. She especially enjoyed gardening and raising pumpkins and was well-known as “The Pumpkin Lady of Fox Lake” for many years. She also enjoyed going on casino trips, polka dancing, collecting bells and watching the Packers, Brewers and Badgers.

Beverly is survived by her children, Carrie (Doug) Sackett of Beaver Dam, Colleen Steinhorst of Fox Lake, Chuck Dinkel of Oklahoma, Christine (Mark) Schueffner of New Holstein and Chad (Trisha) Dinkel of Randolph; her grandchildren, Julie, Nicole (Eric), Jason, Rachel, Mark (Emily), Eric (Kaitlyn), Sarah (Brandon) and McLain; her great-grandchildren, Daelynn, Kylie, Tucker, Nora and Greyson; her sister, Phyllis Rutz of Iron Ridge; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister MaryLou, son-in-law Dale and other relatives.

Honoring Beverly’s wishes, a private family funeral service for Beverly will be held and burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, Town of Trenton.
