Obituary: Genevieve F. Schulze, age 92

Genevieve F. Schulze, age 92, of Horicon, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, surrounded by her family, at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

The visitation will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Monday, September 10, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home on Monday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Cherie Forret officiating. Inurnment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

The former Genevieve Fern McCarty was born on June 23, 1926 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia to Robert and Emma (Hall) McCarty. On October 20, 1956 she was united in marriage with William J. Schulze in Columbus, Ohio. Genevieve worked for the payroll department at John Deere Horicon Works but it was her role as a wife and mother that defined her career. She was proud of her children and grandchildren and she will be missed.

Survivors are her husband of almost 62 years, William Schulze of Horicon; daughters, Joan (Steve) Lohr of Campbellsport, Lori (Mike) Schultz of Burnett, and Sharon Manor of Sun Prairie; grandchildren, Matthew (Joelle) Lohr, Stephanie Lohr, Brian (Megan) Schultz, Nicholas Schultz, Megan Manor and Madeline Manor; great granddaughter, Lydia Lohr; Sister, Peggy Webster of Columbus, Ohio;nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; five siblings; and her grandson, Nicholas Schultz.

Memorials may be made in Genevieve F. Schulze’s name to Trinity Church – United Methodist where she has been a member for 60 years.
