Swan City Ice Skaters to Offer Adult Skating Lessons

The Beaver Dam Swan City Ice Skaters will once again offer adult ice skating lessons at the Beaver Dam Family Center, 609 Gould Street, starting December 17.

The class, which will be held Monday evenings on an almost weekly basis until February 24, is perfect for adults who have never ice skated or are in need of a refresher course. Participants will learn from a certified coach in a safe, structured and judgment-free environment. Skaterswill also have the opportunity to be part of the Swan City Ice Skaters’ annual ice show “Aladdin’s Magic Carpet Ride” in April.

The $65 class fee includes a membership to US Figure Skating, free skate rental, practice ice time and access to the Family Center’s fitness equipment. Class times and registrationinformation can be found by visiting www.swancityiceskaters.org and clicking the Session 3 registration link.

The Beaver Dam Swan City Ice Skaters are a non-profit, parent-run skating club that calls the Beaver Dam Family Center home. In addition to teach youth Learn-to-Skate classes roughly 11 months out of the year, SCIS offers competitive synchronized (team) and solo skating opportunities as well as therapeutic/Special Olympics classes.
