Obituary: Lawrence “Larry” G. Krueger, age 86

Lawrence “Larry” G. Krueger, age 86 of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at home on Wednesday, February 6, 2019.

Larry was born on April 10, 1932 in Horicon, the son of William and Angela (Wyrembeck) Krueger. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and worked for the City of Beaver Dam Department of Public Works as a mechanic and also plowed snow. Larry was united in marriage to Marian Gronquist on July 4, 1970 in Stockholm, WI. He was an active member of First Ev. Lutheran Church, the Eagles Club and the Beaver Dam Conservationists Club. A tremendous family man, Larry treasured the time he spent with his children and grandchildren, of whom he was especially proud. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, traveling and golfing.  A man of great character and having a knack for communicating with everyone he encountered, Larry brought great joy and laughter to many. Larry is survived by his wife, children and several other family members.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at First Ev. Lutheran Church, 311 W. Mackie St., Beaver Dam from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. A celebration of life service for Larry will take place at 11:00 a.m. at church. A luncheon and time of fellowship will immediately follow the service at the Beaver Dam Conservationists Club, W9554 Cty Hwy G, Beaver Dam.
