✩  WINNER! 2014 Children’s Musical Theatre Festival, NYC  ✩

Skyler is about to turn 12, and she’s planned the biggest celebration of the year. But in the middle of the party, something mysterious happens – all the adults suddenly vanish! Trapped in the backyard, the kids realize they must create a brand new society. However when they elect Skyler’s older brother, Charlie, as their ruler, things really begin to spin out of control. Eventually the kids learn a big lesson in responsibility, while Skyler and Charlie develop a greater respect for one another.

AUDITION INFO: Come prepared to sing a short song of your choice and to read selections from a script that will be provided. The child with a parent/guardian is able to schedule an audition time at the link above. Performances are required of every cast member. If your child has a conflict for any performance, please refrain from auditioning and plan to audition for a future production. BDACT will make every effort to cast your child but please understand the cast may be limited based on the number of auditions. Questions? Email Mr. Estervig at tatgrades345@bdact.org

PARENT/GUARDIAN MEETING: Thursday, June 3rd at 6:30 pm A parent/guardian is required to attend this meeting to receive a schedule, scripts and other valuable information. Children are not required to attend. If you are unable to attend, please make arrangements for another parent to receive your child’s packet and take notes for you and to sign you up for a volunteer committee. The Tell A Tale program has been a success for over 47 years due to parent and family volunteers. We often build a strong support team behind the scenes for these productions. Please plan to participate. Sign-ups for various committees will be at the required Parent/Guardian Meeting on June 3rd.

REHEARSALS: Monday through Friday beginning June 7th (1:00 pm-3:00pm), July rehearsals will end at 3:30 pm. Various roles may not be required to be at all rehearsals.

ACTIVITY FEE: $40 (due by June 7 at first rehearsal) covers t-shirts, rehearsal materials, and most wardrobe items. Your child will need makeup, black dance shoes and potentially props or costume items depending on casting.
