2021 Bloomin' Holidays at MOWA. November 5-7

The Museum of Wisconsin Art is hosting the 9th Annual Bloomin’ Holidays on November 5, 6, and 7. Art and flowers come together with this year’s theme- Brittle Beauty, inspired by the upcoming International Year of Glass.

Bloomin’ Displays

Flowers in the Galleries

Wisconsin florists and artists will create displays highlighting the delicate beauty of floral arrangements. Creations will sit in galleries, so visitors can enjoy art and flowers together.

Outdoor Art

Bloomin’ Lights will also transform the exterior of MOWA. Appleton artist Oliver Franklin Anderson will create a multimedia art display of floral beauty. This will be free to the public, so stop by each night from 5:00-10:00 pm to watch. You can also view the 2020 display here.

Atrium Sculpture

Featured Designer Michael Alt will transform MOWA’s atrium. His large scale floral sculpture will be on display for the event. It will also be up throughout the holidays. Michael Alt is the owner of Alt’s, a unique antique, florist, and custom build shop in Walker’s Point.

Video Demos

Be sure to check out the video demos playing at Bloomin’ Holidays. Demos will also be available on the MOWA YouTube Channel.

For Sale

Bryde and Blooms of Cedarburg will be selling flower arrangements throughout the event, while supplies last. So you can take home a piece of floral art for yourself, or give one as a gift!

Admission and Timed Entry

This event is free to museum members. Admission is $15 for non-members, which also includes a one year museum membership.

Bloomin’ Holidays is open from 9:30-4:00 daily. MOWA encourages visitors to make a Timed Reservation. This ensures entry at your preferred time. Reservations can be made online.
