2 Demolition Derbies to conclude Dodge County Fair with big energy & big payouts

The 2023 Dodge County Fair will kick off on Wednesday, August 16 with a full day of judging and showmanship as well as carnival rides and games on the midway, with the free Badger State Truck and Tractor Pull scheduled at 7pm. Three more full days of the fair will each conclude with free concerts with headliners like: Chris Lane (Thursday), Jameson Rodgers (Friday) and Night Ranger (Saturday). All musical acts take the stage at 8pm. On Sunday, two demolition derbies presented by Crash Crazy Motorsports will conclude the five day festival with additional free entertainment at 1pm and 6pm. All of these events are free with your paid admission to the Dodge County Fair.

Crash Crazy Motorsports, based out of Wausau, will have drivers competing for large payouts, generous champion checks and beautiful trophies for each class competing on Sunday. New contestants are also encouraged to participate. Sunday will feature: power-wheels, full-size car open class, mid-size car semi-stock class, compact car semi-stock, mini-trucks and mini-van with semi-stock class, full-size trucks and semi-stock classes.

Crash Crazy Motorsports’ show also features “gutngo” classes for any drivers who may not be as seasoned in the sport or simply want to get involved and have some crazy fun destroying their vehicles in this fun setting.

The qualifying show at 1pm will feature four classes, running qualifying heats.

After minor repairs are made, the 6pm show will have five classes competing, including the popular full-size trucks contending for big money. There will be qualifying heats if necessary and features for each individual class.

Additional entertainment will also include the popular, power-wheel event for children 3-8 years old ($10 Crash Crazy entry fee) with one parent or guardian required to participate with each young driver. A pit pass purchase is not required. Both the adult and child participant must exit the pit area once their class is completed. Families shouldn’t forget that Sunday will also be their last chance to enjoy the midway rides – from 12-5pm – before the final demolition derby.

The driver participation fee for August 20th is $50 paid to Crash Crazy Motorsports. Participants must be sixteen years or older. A notarized consent form with parent signature is needed for 16- and 17-year-old drivers. The Crash Crazy Motorsports pit pass fee for this event is $20 and all pit participants must be sixteen years or older with a valid drivers license.

New and prior participants may register prior to the 1pm event. Pre-registration is also available online for past contestants. Registration, rules, forms and general event updates will be available on the Crash Crazy Motorsports Facebook page. Results and pictures will also be posted here after the event. Questions from participants may be directed to Crash Crazy Motorsports Owner, Nick Neumann at crashcrazymotorsports@aol.com.
