Obituary: Calvin E. Knuth, age71

Calvin E. Knuth, 71, a resident of Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam and formerly of Burnett passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018.

A visitation will be held at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in Burnett on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon at the church. Rev. Tim Sallach will officiate. Interment will take place at Stone Cemetery in Burnett.

Calvin was born the son of Elmer G. and Evelyn L. (Drews) Knuth on October 7, 1946. He was a 1964 graduate of Horicon High School where he was an active member of the FFA. During this time he also belonged to the Burnett Central Badgers 4-H Club. After High School he completed the UW-Madison Short Course. Calvin was employed by Dodge County Dairy Herd Improvement Association for 30 years until he retired in 1996. He was a lifelong member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in Burnett where he served as financial secretary and usher.

Calvin is survived by his siblings: Charlotte (Carl) Lisius of Oak Forest, IL, Lois Knuth of Burnett, and Janice (Eric) Andersen of Meansville, GA; his nieces and nephews: Peter Lisius, Philip (Jill) Lisius, Kristina (Jason) Stockton, Lynn (John) Barnes, and Daniel (Cristi) Andersen; eight great nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be directed to Zion Ev. Church in Burnett or to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
