Obituary: Rachel Zuehlke, age 96

Rachel Zuehlke, age 96 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

Rachel was born on April 1, 1922, in Columbus, WI, the daughter of Otto and Olive (Lange) Henning. On August 30, 1947, she was united in marriage to Delmar Zuehlke in Beaver Dam. Rachel was a faithful member of St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Her favorite hobbies included fishing, bowling up until the age of 80, and more recently playing cards.

Rachel is survived by her son, Doug (Kay) Zuehlke of Beaver Dam; grandson, Christopher (Jana) Zuehlke and great-grandson, Tyler Zuehlke of Juneau; and further survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Delmar; brother, Lester (Lois) and Joe (Manetta) and other relatives.

A memorial gathering for Rachel will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Paul Stratman officiating. Inurnment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, town of Trenton.
