Mary B. Metzger, age 80 of Markesan, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Markesan Resident Home in Markesan.
Mary was born on September 4, 1934 in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of William and Margaret (Hamilton) Winzentsen.
Mary is survived by her sister, Margie of Milwaukee; son, Mark (Carrie) of Hartford; grandchildren, Maureen and Paul; nieces Dawn (John), Chris (Dane), and Lynn; and nephews Rick (Linda),and Jim (Carole)
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Sue and Ellie; step-father, Frank Wagner; granddaughter, Christine; special friend Ronald Hering and other relatives.
Services will be held in Milwaukee on a later date.
The family would like to give a very special, heart felt thank you to all the staff of the Markesan Resident Home for all they do and have done over the years. The caring and loving staff of Markesan Resident Home truly pours their hearts out every day. It is easy to see the residents here are not just residents, they are family. Living over an hour out of town, the family often thought of moving mother closer to their home but did not, because Markesan Resident Home is truly one of Wisconsin’s Finest.
